Fabric of Life
My recent project of paintings are in serch of my connection to my family, specially to my mother.
My mother is 85 years old, she used work at a medical university doing research and lab works. Ever since I can remember my mother is an avid tailor. She made all our clothes during the early years till we went to college. She specially like using flower patterned material.
In her house, all the sofa covers, curtains, table clothes etc. are all have these different pattern of flowers, strips, or checkers .
It's her way of artistic expression. Up till now, I still have many shirt, pants that are made from these beautiful patterned material from my mom.
